Southampton Student Formulary

Classified list of core drugs for Southampton medical students, based on the national student formulary from the clinical section of the BPS, with adaptations. This is an overall guide to the key drugs (and drug groups) prescribed by FY1/FY2 doctors. It does not absolutely define or restrict what is taught and it is subject to updating at any time. Also includes the Top 12 Drug Groups and the Top 40 Individual Drugs. See also the book "The Top 100 Drugs" by Hitchings, Lonsdale, Burrage & Baker (Churchill-Livingstone, 2015).

The Prescribing Safety Assessment (PSA): Learning Resources and SCRIPT map.

A document which provides general information and links to key external websites and learning resources (particularly SCRIPT) to help you prepare for the PSA as you progress through the programme. The SCRIPT map in the appendix aligns the recommended SCRIPT learning modules for Year 3 and then each clinical placement in Years 4 and 5.
